A web VR recording Jang Bogo Station, Korea’s second year-round Antarctic station, in 360° from the air. The station buildings, surrounding terrain and sea ice are captured in aerial panoramas from four directions.
Jang Bogo Station
Korea’s second Antarctic station, located on Terra Nova Bay in Victoria Land, East Antarctica. Completed in February 2014, it differs from King Sejong Station — which sits on King George Island near the Antarctic Peninsula — in that it was built on the Antarctic mainland itself. It operates year-round as a base for research on glaciers, meteorites, the atmosphere and space science.

Where it’s used
For facilities the public can’t reach, such as polar stations, an aerial 360 record alone has great value. It serves as PR and educational material explaining the facility’s layout and setting, and as an archive of the station before it expands or changes.
