King Sejong Station is Korea’s Antarctic research station on King George Island. This project records the station in 360° video, turned into a VR tour that plays right on the web.

How to explore

Drag to look around, and scroll or pinch to zoom. Move between scenes by tapping the hotspots on screen. It opens in PC and mobile browsers with nothing to install.

Where it’s used

When research facilities, industrial sites or hard-to-reach places need to be recorded and shared, 360 VR conveys the feeling of being there better than photos or flat video. The harder a place is to visit — Antarctica, for instance — the bigger the payoff.
